No turntables? Not at the release show last month in Shanghai where you could have gotten a copy of the vinyl? Or just curious what these 2 new AM444 tracks sound like? Here you go:

Happy new year everyone! Here’s a first treat of 2011: a sample mix of AM444‘s debut EP – my long awaited collab with Chinese singer, songwriter, producer, mc and allround cool girl ChaCha (Uprooted Sunshine, UK heavyweight Kode 9, Jamaican legend Clive Chin, and many others).
AM444’s music may be a little hard to describe, but we hope easy to like. Judge for yourselves:
As always, play loud and love to hear what you think. Feel free to share, download, tweet etc!!

Jay.Soul – Dirt McSleaze
Little to be said. Almost 50 (!) years after this was recorded, I can still listen to this on repeat. Speaking of timeless… Will try to post videos of music I really love more frequently.
A couple of weeks ago I saw on Soundcloud that German label Compost Records had a remix contest for the song Aurevoir by French DJ/producer Alif Tree. Extended deadline was yesterday, Friday April 10. Couldn’t get Mr.Windmill in the studio earlier, so we had to do the whole remix from start to finish in 1 day. The original is a really organic, melancholic jazz track over a slow housy groove, with mostly live instruments. We rearranged the track completely, took parts out, added new drums, percussion and bass and sped it up too. Shake something..
For fans of dubby, afrolatin percussion flavored, groovin’ deep jazz house.
enjoy and tell me what u think..
The sun has been (sort of) out in Shanghai the last couple of days. This calls for some laidback tunes to fit that mood.
